Staymark support
What Staymark does
- Staymark works out relevant dates from the facts you record, and can schedule reminders.
- It does not file anything for you. It does not connect to any government system. It does not give immigration, tax or legal advice.
- Thailand's rules change, and immigration offices can apply them differently. Staymark uses the rules built into your version of the app. It cannot know about a change it has not been given.
- So confirm anything that matters with your immigration office or a qualified adviser. Staymark is a reminder system, not an authority.
What this version covers
- Staymark supports the longer-stay categories listed in your installed version. The questions, records and reminders depend on the category you select. Check that your actual category is available before relying on the app; a similar name does not make another category suitable.
- It works from the facts you record. A missing date can leave an answer unknown; an incorrect date can produce an incorrect result. Check your records against your documents.
- Some questions depend on the immigration office or on information that Staymark cannot establish. Read any qualification or unknown result shown in the app; it is not confirmation of eligibility.
The initial release does not provide dedicated support for permanent-resident holders or accredited diplomatic, official or special status. A person who has an ordinary temporary permission as a dependent of a permanent resident, or for government or mission work, has a different basis of stay: use the supported category for that actual permission. Being eligible to apply for a status is not the same as holding it.
Additional temporary migrant amnesty, regularisation and exceptional Cabinet schemes are outside the initial release. The existing MOU-worker and nationality-verification categories remain included. Their presence does not mean that Staymark covers every special scheme or determines whether you qualify for one.
Choose the category for your stay
Use the category that matches your actual circumstances and record the dates shown on your documents. The questions and topics depend on that choice. A visa-document date is different from the date immigration has allowed you to remain in Thailand.
An annual immigration report, where it applies, is not the same as a 90-day report. Follow the topic shown for your category and the date on your current notification. Completing one kind of report does not complete a different obligation.
A programme status report or qualification check is also separate from an Immigration address report. Where the app supports one, record the date given by the responsible authority, choose your own review date, or leave the next date unknown. A chosen reminder is not an official deadline, and recording submission or attendance does not confirm acceptance or continued eligibility.
Changing what Staymark tracks does not change your legal status. A mistake in an earlier entry is a correction; something that genuinely changed later needs its own dated record. Check the confirmation before saving. If your category or required action is not available, contact support rather than choose an unrelated category to make the app accept it.
Keeping the rules up to date
- Staymark does not download rule changes. Revised rules arrive only in app updates from the App Store or Google Play.
- Install Staymark updates when they are offered. Until you do, Staymark keeps using the rules it came with.
- To see which rules your copy uses, open Me and look under About Staymark. The date shown is when those rules took effect. It is not a check that they are still current.
Financial records
Financial questions depend on the category and funding method you record. A balance, monthly income and annual income are different facts: follow the unit and period shown in the app. Where a recorded balance fell below a requirement, use the balance and restoration questions provided for that category.
Staymark does not connect to your bank, move money or monitor your account. Its calculations and unknown results depend on your entries and the rules in your installed version. Keep checking your own records and the requirements that apply to you.
Reminders
- Reminders are a prompt, not a guarantee. Open Staymark regularly and check Today, even if you have had no reminder.
- Staymark needs your permission to show notifications. If you turn them off, Staymark shows "Warnings are off" on Today. Tap it to turn them on, or to open your phone's settings.
- On Android, reminders can arrive late unless Staymark is allowed to set exact alarms. If you see "Warnings may arrive late", tap it to change the setting.
- Some phones' battery-saving settings can hold back notifications from any app. If reminders arrive late or not at all, check your phone's battery settings for Staymark.
- On iPhone, a Focus mode can silence notifications. Check your Focus settings if reminders seem to be missing.
- If Staymark says it could not update your reminders, it could not update your reminders on this phone. That failure is about the reminders, not about your record: it does not change what you have entered, or what Staymark works out from it. Those still depend on the facts you recorded and the rules in your version of the app, so open Staymark and check what it shows.
Correcting a mistake
- Open Overview, choose the topic, and look under Record or correct for the actions available for that record.
- Where withdrawal is available, use it for a recorded event that did not happen. Look for the option that begins "Withdraw this". A genuine later change needs its own record.
- Corrections and withdrawals keep the earlier entry in your history. Some older records remain visible without an edit action after you change category; contact support if the action you need is unavailable.
Changing or resetting your record
- Stop tracking keeps your record on your phone as an archived record. You can resume it later.
- Start fresh begins a new record and keeps the old one as an archived record.
- Neither erases anything. To remove all of Staymark's information from your phone, delete the app. On iPhone, choose Delete App: Offload App keeps your information.
Moving to a new phone
- Staymark has no account, so there is nothing to sign in to on a new phone.
- Your records can move only with your phone's own backup or transfer. Before you switch, check that your phone's backup is turned on.
- We cannot promise that a backup or transfer will include Staymark's information. After you switch, open Staymark and check your dates.
Your privacy
Staymark keeps what you enter on your phone, and the app itself does not send it to us. Your phone's own backup, transfer and diagnostics settings are separate, and the privacy policy explains them.
